What i can offer

I will aim to make our home for your child to feel like home from home. I understand what it feels like to put your child into childcare and i will try my best for them to feel like part of the family.

I believe that while learning we can still have fun. I will encourage the children through activities and play, while still following the early year’s foundation guidelines.

Our home is a 4 bedroom semi-detached house with a secure front and back garden. Downstairs we have a living room; dining room/toys area which leads on to the kitchen. At the end of the kitchen is a utility room which has a separate downstairs toilet. Upstairs is 3 bedrooms, bathroom and study.

I can offer your kids freshly made meals, snacks and drink. We can have this around the table or as a picnic in the garden, when possible and if not we can always have a picnic in the front room. We have enough rooms for them to have naps when needed. Our back garden is secure where your children can run around, play games and have fun. There is a toy area where they will find different toys to play and learn with. We have lots of books for all ages of children which they are free to pick one to read somewhere quietly or I can read them a story.

There are fun activities that we can do like play dough, messy play, arts and crafts and water play. We will also do some baking for the children to have fun and learn about ingredients and mixing together which will make something yummy and get them understanding about cooking. I will ensure that the children will be entertained, happy and busy learning that they won’t realise that they are!

I have a childminding buddy who is a registered childminder, we will meet up for walks, go to the park or to the library or for a day out. This will allow the children to play with others and build on their social and personal skills.

Unfortunately I don’t drive but hoping to learn this year but I do love going for walks or outings on the bus and train.

I live on a bus route which takes you to bird world, I also don’t live that far from a garden centre so we can go for a walk and look at the animals, and we have 3 parks near us which is only a few minutes’ walk away. There is a little forest area down the road from us so we can go on a nature trail and it’s nice to go out and enjoy the fresh air.
